The City of North Vancouver presents Fun City Festival! Lonsdale Avenue will be the venue for Slide the City & Car Free Day, now a two-day event that will again draw thousands from across the region. With a new name, Fun City Festival will take place on Saturday, August 13th, and Sunday, August 14th, a family-friendly event in Shipyards District with even more entertainment. Slide the City’s popular 1,000-foot-long water slide returns, along with Car Free Day, turning Lower Lonsdale into a pedestrian and slider zone. The area will be filled with live music and entertainment on multiple stages as well as local artisans, street performers, food trucks, a beer garden, restaurant patios, and a kids’ zone with crafts, entertainment, and activities. Parking will be limited, biking, walking, or transit are encouraged.
